Following the interview on London & Kirshenbaum I also was touched by your story and immediately bought the book. I am almost finishing it now and can hardly stop reading it. Your description about the relationship with your father is heart breaking. I wonder whether your mother had indeed Jewish roots. Thanks for sharing it with Israelis. Did you write the Hebrew text ?

Berndt, I just heard you speak in person in Sarasota this morning. I was moved to tears by your story, thinking of what you had to give up in order to be at peace with yourself and to work for a better world, especially your work on conquering "the beast within" all of us humans. I was inspired to buy your book and look forward to reading it, and also to seeing you at my Tel Aviv Soup Salon in a few months.
