MUCH OF WHAT YOU HAVE WRITTEN CONSISTS OF EXTENSIVE VERBATIM RECOLLECTIONS OF CONVERSATIONS THAT YOU SEEM TO BE ABLE TO RECALL, SOME OF WHICH ARE FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD DECADES AGO.
PERHAPS SOME PHOTOGRAPHS, LETTERS NEWS CLIPPINGS WOULD HAVE HELPED TO MAKE IT ALL SEEM REAL.

Interesting comments. Maybe I can address a few of your concerns.
1) I wrote the book to come to terms with my past and to understand my parents.
2) yes, all of the events occurred but I took the liberty to summarize them.
3) as a result of my research and the many responses I received I compiled pictures and correspondence, which I will publish on my new web site.
4) yes, I am very involved in Jewish life, active supporter of Israel and visit Germany&Israel at least twice a year.
5) I assume that you know the family that supported me to come to this country and if I have hurt any of them I apologize and ask for their forgiveness.
6)Yes, I am a caring and loving father and am an involved parent. Naturally, I could do more but I am not perfect.
